Daniel is a Master of Science student in Tropical and Infectious Diseases at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) and Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Medical Physiology from the same university. He is attached with the Ministry of Health and stationed at Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital, Nairobi, Kenya. He has had extensive experience in both clinical and basic science research, and also enjoys leadership and project management. His future goals include Surgery and finding methods to offer affordable medical care in Sub-Saharan Africa, especially for vulnerable populations such as orphans, mentally ill and patients living with HIV/AIDS. He enjoys watching movies and plays, traveling and playing drums. Daniel is currently involved in Open Access initiatives in Kenya. He also serves as the Secretary of the Association of Physicians and Medical Workers for Social Responsibility, an affiliate of the International Physicians for Prevention of Nuclear War.
